On July 10, Andy was gravely injured by
a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) while riding in a Bradley fighting
vehicle. He was on an early morning patrol near Samarra, Iraq
with his platoon. He survived until Aug. 9, 2004, when he succumbed
to his injuries.

I wish I had words to offer that
would bring healing for Andy and comfort for his family - but
my mind just keeps thinking of Psalm 20:7 'Some nations boast
of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the Lord our God.'
Andy, thank you for your service - thank you for your sacrifice.
There is a country of men, women, and children who now have a
chance to know the word Freedom because you brought them HOPE.
My prayers will be for you tonight, Andy. Hooah!
To Andy's family and friends - all my respect.
