Christopher Thomas, 39, was buried in about four-feet of snow in an avalanche at Kelso Mountain, CO. He was in the Army for 18 years and served four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He devoted much of his time to Summit for Soldiers outdoor adventure training to support veteran's, service members, and their families.

He is survived by his wife Melissa
