The Department of Defense announced today
the death Capt. Douglas A. Dicenzo, 30, of Plymouth, N.H. He
died in Baghdad, Iraq, on May 25, when an improvised explosive
device detonated near his HMMWV during combat operations. He
was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry, 2nd Brigade,
1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany.
He is survived by his wife Nicole, infant
son, Dakin, his mother, father, and a brother.
He was deployed to Iraq in November 2005.
The family has announced that there will
be a memorial service for Doug at Plymouth Regional High School
at 1:00 pm on Sunday, June 4th, 2006.
The family is establishing a scholarship
in Dougs name. Anyone wising to make a donation should
