[REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE]Just finished this book today. It's sweet writing; the guy can really turn a sentence. And, at least from my perspective nine years hence, to say it is an accurate documentary of the Corps is a severe understatement. It's complete with foul language, casual sex, egomaniacs, as well as plenty of the good stuff that makes the place admirable if not perfect. I was particularly moved by his account of LTC Kiersey's fall from grace at the Academy; unfortunately, it looks like the very guys who embody what the place stands for are still often getting hammered for doing the right thing. Disturbing.
If I didn't know any better I'd say Dave Lipsky was a cadet himself. The book's definitely worth a read.
