You can always go AGR if you want to go back to the service. One of the guys here where I work was AGR. The tours are 5 years instead of 3, and the positions are usually either cadre at local reserve centers or instructors at civilian universities teaching ROTC. There are also many AGR positions at HQs around the globe. You would have a branch manager and PCS and the pay and leave will be the same. I cannot believe that the Army didn't take you back, but if this is what you want, then by all means do it. Also, in the AGR program, once you hit 20, you're automatically retired. Hope this helps.
