1900 -- On the last play of the game, Army's Quinn Gray blocked a Navy punt.  Navy's Byron Long beat Gray to the ball and covered it in the end zone for an Army safety.  If Gray had covered it, it would have been the game winning TD.  Navy 11, Army.

1906 -- Army's five game winning streak in the series was snapped.  Navy 10, Army 0.

 

1934 -- Army lost to Navy for the first time since 1921.  Navy's Slade Cutter kicked a FG in the first quarter for the game's only points.  Navy 3, Army 0.

1945 -- Both teams entered the game unbeaten.  The game featured Army's first two Heisman Trophy winners, Felix "Doc" Blanchard ('45 Heisman winner) and Glenn Davis ('46 Heisman winner). Blanchard scored 3 TDs, Davis scored 2.  Army jumped out to a 20-0 first quarter lead and won convincingly 32-13.  It was the second of three consecutive national championships for the Army team.

1945 Army-Navy Game Program

 

1951 -- After a cheating scandal, 37 Army players were dismissed from West Point before the season began.  Navy scored 14 points before Army's offense even took the field and won going away 42-7.

1956 -- Each team scored as a result of a turnover -- Army on an interception return, Navy after one of Army's 8 fumbles.  Army 7, Navy 7.

1962 -- The first Army-Navy game featuring a non-West Point graduate as Army's head coach.  Roger Staubach spoiled Paul Dietzel's Army-Navy coaching debut.  Navy 34, Army 14.

1973 -- The most lopsided win in Army-Navy history.  Army coach Tom Cahill's last game.  Navy 51, Army 0.

1979 -- Navy's Eddie Myers rushed for 279 yards.  After trailing 17-7 at halftime, Army allowed 14 unanswered second half points.  Navy 31, Army 7.

1984 -- The wishbone returned to the Army-Navy game.  Army QB Nate Sassaman and FB Doug Black each rushed for over 150 yards, and Army rushed for 432 as a team.  Sassaman and Black both rushed for over 1000 yards for the season, and Army went to it's first postseason bowl (Cherry Bowl; victory over Michigan St).  Army 28, Navy 11.
