The final hole is a good deuce opportunity. Removal of a key tree really opened up a route to the right. The straight route up the middle can be hit but it is almost insanely tight. I threw a nice hyzer that found the last tree before the basket.
I was left with this fairly shrt putt and you can guess what happened. I got high right chain just like on number 6 and dropped wide.
This was not a good way to end the round but I shouldn't complain about a 52. Believe it or not, this was probably the best I have ever driven off the tee on this course. I only got two early trees out of 18 holes and I was able to recover for pars both times. The only drive that cost me a stroke was on #1 and I had many birdie putts. I missed at least three putts under 20' but I also made a couple of long ones. If I can get consistent with the putts to go along with the drives I should be able to shoot in the 40s on this course. Next time I will throw at least 4 putts before I start.
