Randall Carl Robertson passed away on Friday, April 21 in Alabaster, AL after a well fought battle with brain cancer. He was born in Carthage, MO and graduated from Carthage High School in 1971. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY in 1975. Randall served in the US Army as a Signal Corp Officer and as an Army Aviator with tours in Germany and South Korea as well as stateside assignments. He also earned a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from North Georgia College. Randall worked proudly as a Physical Therapist for the Birmingham VA Medical Center for 10 years until his retirement in 2006. His retirement was filled with volunteering with the Alabama Woodworkers Guild, the Shelby County Master Gardeners, Aldridge Gardens and the Alabama Hydrangea Society. Randall leaves behind his wife of 41 years Fran Kupecky Robertson. Other survivors include his parents Marjorie and Lawrence Robertson, his sister Connie Robertson Goodman (Robert), brother Larry Robertson (Barbara) all of Carthage, MO and his brother Terry Robertson of Wichita, KS, his sisters in law Mary Carol Kupecky Copeland (Tom) of Sherwood, AR and Susan Bucher Kupecky of Kennesaw, GA and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be interred at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at a future date.
