Dr. Rogers received his medical degree from UF Medical School in 1968. Woody was a physician in the USAF at Cam Rahn Bay Hospital in Vietnam and was a flight surgeon in Germany and at MAFB. Following his retirement in Tampa as a Lt. Colonel, Woody practiced emergency medicine at Memorial Hospital. Countless persons are alive today as a result of his diagnostic and healing talent. Woody was a true southern gentleman whose motto extended beyond duty, honor, and country to include family and friends. He was always gracious and thoughtfully kind. He loved impersonating Oscar Wilde and his sense of humor was greatly appreciated by all who knew him. He is survived by the love of his life for 51 years, Hugh M. Martin Jr., M.D.; sisters, Mary Lou Rogers, Robin (Bob) Andersohn, and Cherry Rogers; nephew, Robert Andersohn; and his beloved dog, Cooper.
