- OUR COZUMEL TRIP -

Durng the period 12-19 April, 2003, Karen and I went to Cozumel, Mexico, to relax, sight-see, and SCUBA-dive. We went with a dive group from Sandia Snorkel and SCUBA, a local Albuquerque dive shop. We stayed at Plaza Las Glorias, which was no more than a 10-minute walk from downtown San Miguel, the largest city on Cozumel. We dove with Aqua Safari, which I would recommend to anyone wanting a great diving experience. Karen and I made every scheduled dive, two per day, (no other couple did) and a couple of extra ones besides (to include a night dive), for a total of 12 dives. One of our dives was the Devil's Throat at Punta Sur to a depth of 122 feet. Of course we dove the Palancar Reef, Cozumel's main diving attraction. On our non-diving day prior to flying home, we went to Tulum, a Mayan ruin on the Yucatan Peninsula. We took the ferry to Playa del Carmen and a couple of pre-arranged vans down to Tulum. As soon as I get the pictures organized I will put them on this site.

Some of you divers who have been to Cozumel before might be interested in the dives we did.
