This page contains my "stories". I've told them for many years. Over that time the truth may have lost out to entertainment value. I can't tell anymore as most of this is too far in the past for any exact recollection.

As I have repeated these stories over the years, my friends have said that I had to write them down. So I did. As I prepared to make them public I realized that there were some characters who, while virtually anonymous in private tellings, might be hurt or offended to see their names in print, probably not portrayed in one of their finest hours (after all, what's amusing about that?) For that reason I have changed some names.

If you recognize someone even with a name change, well, I guess you knew the story already so I haven't told you anything you didn't already know. If you recognize yourself and you are offended, I'm sorry. I don't intend to offend anyone.

If you don't agree with my portrayal of you or your actions, you have several courses of action to choose between. The best would be to write to me and explain how I have misrepresented the facts. If convinced, I will remove the story immediately or revise it as appropriate. Or you could publish your own home page and tell the story your way. I’ll even put a link in to your story if you desire.

For family members who are using the Family History section, you know that the facts are skimpy and I have filled in with historical research and guesswork. As I have said many times in the past, there is sufficient reason for our ancestors to have left us few records. There is no longer any excuse not to leave a full and complete record of ourselves for our followers. I urge you to write your own histories, to contribute to this one, or to do whatever you can and want to do to leave our descendants a family history.
