The service academies haven't sent that many players on to the NFL, but the New England Patriots took Navy long snapper Joe Cardona in the fifth round of the NFL draft earlier this month. While Cardona never is going to be a top NFL star, there have been a handful of service academy players who were stars. What better time than Memorial Day weekend to spotlight those guys?
