(1) $5 (30-coin) 9/6 DDB in old high-limit lounge in Casino of the Earth. Casino of the Wind has plenty of 9 6 JOB $1 machines up to 10 play. Reports are that ALL VP up to and including $1 denoms are $140= 1 point. Old high limit closed till 5/18 or thereabouts. Really bad news on the PEs in the Casino of the Sky (new casino). Points on the $5 and $10 (didn't check the $25) are $270 = $1. Even worse is that the $5 machines against the wall (new machines that also have $10) are now short pay (10,000 for the royal, 15 for trips). The one $10 in the middle was $270 but still full-pay. It now takes $180 to earn a point on $1 PKM. Theo on the bartops is 5% which is down from 8%. $5/$10/$25 9/6 DBDJ. (1) $5 (3/5 Play) 9/6 JoB 10-coin near garage entrance in Hall of Lost Tribes. Mohegan Sun has several types and paytables for Joker Poker. One is Kings or Better that pays either 15 or 17 for the 4 of a kind, some are the Atlantic City Joker, where the 5 of a kind pays 4000 and they have one that I found last night in the .25 pickem machines in the old poker room that has the following paytable: 1-2-5-7-8-20-050-050-100-1000 that returns 99.07%, pretty close to the Joker that you saw. All of the $1 pickum in the old poker room are now full pay. I just got a sagamore card for the first time and it also expires in 6 months. I checked last time and my play has been about 350,000 for the last 10 months and the only reason it was delayed (host told me this) was that since I hit two royals I was up for the year. I received my Sagamore card also. This time it was only good for 6 months and has an expiration of 3/31/06. I'm not sure why, all previous cards were good fro a year. 600K sounds like a reasonable estimate. My SO received her new Sagamore Card. Wonder what's required to maintain this status? Action has been about $30K/day for 20 days this year. I'll speculate Sagamore requires $500K play/year. The $5 9/6 JoB listed on the database are still not MIA. I verified again yesterday. There are only 3 GameMakers in a row in high-limit Earth, the center one which is 9/6; and a long row of them in high-limit Sky, the second ones in from the left and right are 9/6. The $5 9/6 JoB are MIA again. The $5 9/6 JoB are still there. I was there July 29-August 1 and couldn't not find a single $5 single line 9-6 Jacks or Better machine. All the $5 Gamemakers were 8-5, with no exceptions. Everything else is as stated within the site. While there is conflicting info as to exactly how the hosts computer determines who gets admitted into a lounge automatically, I was told that a $425 daily theo is the magic number. Whether this is averaged over your last 6 visits or 30 days or minimum/visit remains inconclusive. I did get to see my computer screen again. My nights play at the 9/6 $1 JOB at a Bow & Arrow bartop yielded a theo of 8.35% of my coin-in. I also noticed an exclusive nights play at a .25 PKM earlier in the year yielded a theo of an interestingly low 4.5% of my coin-in. Back when there was full-pay $1 PKM in the old poker room I indicated my theo was 6% of coin-in. Apparently, via host's conversation, the computer is classifying the bartops as penny machines even though they are multi-denom -- hence, the high theo classification. For those of you who persevered in boycotting MS, your strategy might have worked. All $5, $10, & $25 Pick 'Em is back to full-pay. MS might be the only place in North America that has this now in $25 denom for those who want to brave it and its 352,000 hand royal cycle. I did not see any $1 converted as yet though. They also have two $5 GameMakers with full-pay JOB; they are the second ones in from the left and the right in the bank of 7 in the high-limit area of the Sky casino. All bartops in Bow&Arrow and Hall of Lost Tribes still have $1 9/6 JOB. There are signs on many of the machines in the Sky high roller area stating that it takes $270 to earn $1 in comps. The full pay .25 pickem in the old poker room are back as of 5/1. I was at MS last night and they had shut down the 2 rows of gamemakers in the old poker room (one set contained .25 FP Pickem) and were playing with the motherboards, so that can't be good either. There are only 2 bars left with $1 9/6 JoB also (bow and arrow and hall of lost tribes). They just downgraded the points on quarter machines to 1/180 from 1/90. This is worse than the 1/160 that they upped it from a couple months ago. Both of the 50 plays that had the 8/5 SAs are now 6/5. There is a 3/5 play $5 MG on your immediate right as you enter the Hall of Lost Tribes from the entrance closest to the parking garage has 9/6 JOB for both 3 and 5 play. Can bet up to 10-coins for high rollers. Slot days runs from 6:00am-6:00am. All 3/5 plays on list are MIA. [The 50 play is still good but only (1) of these.] 99.9% PKM NOT MIA (They were only down a few days during adjustments.) : (4) 25c TITO Game Makers near the bar in the Hall of Lost Tribes casino. The (8) 25c Game Maker slant-tops in the new slot area (where the poker room used to be) are in Earth casino. 9/6 JoB (99.5%) Circular bar in Sky casino is called Star bar, (21) of these bartops. (25) at Bow & Arrow. (21) at Wolf Den. (15) at Hall of Lost Tribes. No $2, just $1. MIA: Bartops at Cabaret are downgraded. The 25c PKM machines now earn 1 point per $90 coin-in. The Racebook Bartops were upgraded to TITO, but along with this they downgraded the $1 JOB to 8/5. Very disappointing as this was a nice quiet place to play. The Bow and Arrow and Video Star bars still had $1 Job as of 2/18/05. The remaining 2 $10 PE machines in the new casino have been downgraded. Stopped by the Mohegan Sun Wednesday, all the $1 and $5 Pick'Em in the old casino were out of service. 25 cent remained full pay, but were all taken. Walked over to the new section, all the $5 Pick'Em have been converted to short pay. All $1/$5 single line JoB have also been downgraded (except at the bars) and the $25 PKM is MIA. The (4) $1 9/6 JOB slant-tops in a carousel near the Wolf Den are MIA. Add (3) $5 PE slant-top Gamemakers in the high-limit slot room in the old casino. Just got back from MS and all the bartops have been changed since our last visit two weeks ago except for the cabaret bar. They are now .01, .05 .25 and $1 denomination. The machines were tied up with penny and nickel playsers and getting a seat was really difficult. The cabaret bar will soon undergo these changes also. There are no more 10-coin $1 JOB at the bartops. There are 2 FP Super Aces on the 3/5 play $5 machines in the new high-limit slots area in the circular bank near the entrance to the lounge. A host at MS told us that parking, swipping your card, checking your card for points or shopping is not considered a day of play for averages unless you put $s in a machine. We asked him whether it would be better for a h & w who play once a week for x$ each to play one week under his card for 2x$ and the next week under hers for 2x$. The host said it would be better, even though frequence of visits is considered as well as avarage theo. Also, you can't use one card if 1 plays tables and 1 plays machines. Note further that sometimes hosts answer questions without definite knowledge. Ther are (4) $1 JB slant-tops in a carousel near the Wolf Den entrance. Just came back from the Sun. Half of the GameMakers were converted to quarters and the others ($1) were moved to the left half of the room. Half of the IGT's there were converted to quarters and moved to the right half of the room. So now all quarters to the right and all dollars (& $5) to the left with same pay scales. So no more waiting in line for you quarter people; it's the dollar people's turn. Was at MS this past weekend, and noticed a couple machines that aren't in the database. In the Hall of Lost Tribes casino, there is a single $5 full-pay PE machine (TITO gamemaker, also had 9/6 JoB), and a single $5 3/5 play 9/6 JoB machine. They're adjacent to each other, and located on your immediate right as you enter the Hall of Lost Tribes from the entrance closest to the parking garage / bus area. I also noticed at least three $0.25 full-pay PE machines (gamemakers, don't remember if they were TITO) in the non-smoking area of the Sky casino behind the blackjack tables. They were mixed in with short-pay games, so check the paytables if you play there. There's a single $25 (and a $10) GameMaker in the elevated part of the high roller section in the old casino. Just got back from Mohegan and all the bartops are multi game, multi denomination games. .5, .25, 1.00. I think they are game kings. The JOB at the dollar level is full pay. Some of the machines allow you to play 10-coins instead of five. I noticed at least one at each bar. Also, the bank of dollar FP pickum were out of service and being worked on. The tech said it was a software upgrade. Hopefully, they didn't change the pay tables. Just remembered that the sports bar is the only one with out the multi denomination games. The bar in the Hall of Lost tribes is TITO. I think that all the bars will be TITO eventually. I've been told that my theo is $1400 per trip. I average 30-40K and would put the theo closer to 4%. Then again, there seems to be very few people working at MS that know what their talking about. You only need one hour of play at $5/hand (ie. 5 x $1) to be admitted into a lounge (sachem, feather, or arrow). You can get 24 hrs of lounge access for every day that qualifies, but they will only look back 30 days. He let me see my computer screen which showed my numbers (theos, avg's, etc.) None of the hosts who have seen my account were able to tell whether I was playing slots or VP; they treated it as the same game. No where did my screen show an actual loss, just the theoreticals. Using simple division, and having played only $1 PE, I was able to determine the theo they use for this is almost exactly 6%. I was interested in finding out what one needed to get comp concert tickets. Ced told me they look at 2 criteria. Your present 4 month average theo (per day), and your 1 year gross theo; you need to pass both. The requirement varies from show to show and can vary from day to day based on whether the artist has become more or less popular than expected. So I asked about an average show like Dolly Parton (now sold out of comp's). For her you needed a 4 month avg theo of $600, and a year gross theo of $30K. For Cher it got as high as $1500 avg theo. before it went back down. The gross theo is generally going to be 50 times the avg theo. So they 'expect' you to gamble at least 50 days/yr; if you were there only 25, you'd have to gamble twice as much on the days you're there. While this might be the criteria for shows, it might similarly apply to other comps as well. Haaljo has written you need a $35K yr gross theo for Sagamore and $50K for Sachem cards. What is interesting that I've been told by other hosts as well is that gambling only a little on some days is worse than not gambling at all since it will lower your 4 month avg. As far as Sagamore status, I have been told that your host proposes you and a committee passes on the application. They are looking for history over a couple years as well as play level, since this status is seldom revoked once granted. As previously discussed, there is little benefit other than immediate lounge access and parking. You need a $35K yr gross theo for Sagamore and $50K for Sachem cards. I got a Sagamore card in the mail today, played there since March. Put in 50K+ per day about once a week. The bar at the Hall of the Lost Tribes (non-smoking area of old casino) has TITO multi-demon games with 9/6 JOB at the $1 level. Couldn't get to see if this is for all the machines or just some. Also the bar at the racebook has 9/6 on the $1 coin machines (they have been around for a long time, but I didn't see them on the database.) The bar in the hall of lost tribes has $1 and $2 9-6 JOB. I was at Mohegan twice last week and I found a .25 fifty play machine in the new casino near the daily swipe machines that had FP Super Aces. I did not have a chance to check the others since people were playing them. I'm sure these were there since they opened the new section. The new high-limit area is in the Casino of the Sky in the large open area adjacent to the Wombi Rock. The reason I call it the new high-limit area is because the smaller high-limit area in the original or as I call it the old casino was there first. These are the only high-limit areas in the MS casino as far as I know. The Sagamore at MS gets you 20% off the Casino rate, guaranteed hotel reservations, preferrred parking, invites to all shows and a host who never returns calls. I'm not aware of a similar program at Foxwoods. I'm a Sagamore member so I know the requirements are not 50K a day or they made a mistake by sending me a card. My guess would be more like 25K/day. I've always assumed that the Sachem card is the high roller card and required 50K per day or more. I asked how to get a Sagamore or Sachem card like some of our friends. She said you have to 'lose' $35k for Sagamore and $50K for Sachem. Figure that must mean theoretical but no idea what they use for percentage and over how long a period of time. It has to be over a period of time rather than one trip. I wouldn't be reading about VP if I could afford a theo loss of $35K in one trip! At 3% that would be over a million dollars of action. So. IF (that's a big if) the host gave good information, I would speculate a $35K theo loss over one year I've been told my theo is $1500 per trip. Most of my trips are overnight avg 50-60K. my guess is they're using a theo of 3% or so. I have received 2 coupons for $125 each to use at Mohegan Sun for two periods in Dec. They are good for all goods and services in the Hotel,Spa, and retail shops. My wife received one for $20 and 1 for $30. I was curious if anyone received a higher denomination and if you did, at what rate/game do you play? Thanks. I avg 4 to 6 hours at $1 JOB once every 1 to 2 months. (7) $1 9/6 JoB slant-tops near the Wolf Den Bar downgraded to 9/5. May still be a few $1 9/6 at the Bow and Arrow bar. |
