I got to know George real close-up in Plebe boxing -- my nose still shows it! He was as strong in character as he was physically and his untimely departure from this world was a loss to all. Be thou at peace - George. Walt McCrilis January 8 - 2002 I knew George since kindergarten; his family lived two doors away. We were closest friends as boys. As paralles to 'the red and the black' george chose the military and I became a priest. How George died and why he became incommunicado has remained a mystery to his family and me. His sister,Sharon - did not believe the death certificate supplied by the Army because it lacked an accurate description. There was a rumor that he died a street person. I belive this to be a 'legend' unless the alcholism that plagued his parents got to him. Any information would be most welcome as I remember him fondly very frequently. Contact me - George - and anyone who knows more. gerald f bradley December 15 - 2002 If anyone knows about George's last years contact me jbradley317@yahoo.com jerry bradley December 19 - 2002 Today - my friend,George - would be 71 and I still haven't heard of where and how he died.
