We spent four years next to each other in all those alphabetical lines - shared the joys of Beast Barracks in fourth company - then in boxing - wrestling and so many other varied activities. You were always a solid - uplifting presence to me and - I'm sure - many others. 'Tis our loss that the Lord took you so early - but I pray that you're at peace in Him.

Memories: Ft Bliss - Ft Sill - West Point--show biz--sailing Pecan Pie--sad Medevac trip to Walter Reed--sadder still trip as escort back to WP. Wonderful memories still strong. Bobbie and Jay are buried close to each other-as we were close in life.

Well done - good friend! Be at peace! Save us a place!

I roomed with J more than I did with any other classmate. Yet - I never had enough of his sunny presence and quiet determination. I remember asking him to entertain my date while I walked the area - never realizing that the two of them had a crush on each other. J was too much the gentleman to take advantage of that situation but when my interest in Phoebe flagged - he asked my permission to pursue her. Unfortunately - the freedom to be together was unfulfilling compared to unrequited love. It didn't last and J married Mona his chldhood friend soon after graduation.

We were able to track down J's daughter Ashley through the Internet and exchanged messages with her and her mother. Bundy and I were happy to see that J would have been proud of his six-year-old daughter.
