I got to know Gerry well when I began the class Listservs in 1995. Gerry was one of the first '55 Troops to participate in the then foreign e-mail Nets. What you saw is what you got with Gerry - he was not shy about expressing his opinions and he often did. I grew very fond of Gerry and was very sad when - for multiple reasons - he had to leave the '55 Nets around 1998. I had always hoped Gerry would be able to return to the Nets - but now that is no longer a possiblity. Gerry - you done good - now be at peace with your G*d. His determination to participate in all activities despite physical discomfort at the last reunion we were together showed his love for us and for West Point. Be at peace - Friend. He played an excellent hand of bridge - and made a formidable opponent. He was a brilliant student - and a patient and supportive teacher. Then through hour long telephone calls. Through his efforts I joined the West Point Forum and the Class Net...and left the West Point Forum.
