Georgia Ann Langley Eby Sims
Georgia Ann Langley Eby Sims was born on 12 November 1933 on a farm in Manning AR, near Arkadelphia AR, to Cortez and Hazel Langley. They moved to Magnolia AR in 1940 and to Stamps AR in 1941. Her Dad worked at the Olin Sulphur Plant in McKamie AR. Georgia had two younger brothers, Don and Mike.
She graduated from Stamps High School in 1951 and from Henderson State Teachers College. Georgia married John Eby, an artist and teacher, and they had three children, Mike, Rob and Gretchen. The Ebys lived in Texas, Germany and Oklahoma before moving to Phoenix in 1968.
Georgia got a Masters degree from Arizona State, and was a Reading Specialist and award winning Teacher in the Phoenix School System, until she retired in 1992. She divorced John Eby in 1978.
Georgia married TES in 1989, and they moved to Las Vegas NV in 1994 and lived a very happy life, until they lost a two year battle with her lymphoma cancer in 1998.
Georgia was a special person, who lived life to the fullest. Her joys included her family, a few very close friends, teaching kids, art, music, reading, traveling and good food.
She detested hypocrisy and mathematics, and whenever a crisis or a problem arose, often responded with a cheery "Oh shit, Oh dear" epithet.
