During 2000, we relocated to Magnolia. Our son moved here two years ago and we felt it was time for us to make a change. Needless to say, we have had a major job. We are still very busy. Dorothy Marie Baker Hanson, age 75, of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at her home. She was born February 14, 1933 in Lafayette County, Arkansas to the late Roy Allen and Dovie Marie (Thomas) Baker. She was a retired bookkeeper for the R H Davis Construction Company and the Stamps Public Schools. Mrs. Hanson was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Stamps, Arkansas and a current member of the First United Methodist Church in Magnolia. She was an active member of the Sunday School Class and a dedicated volunteer of the Stew Pot at First United Methodist Church in Magnolia. She is survived by: her husband, AB Hanson; one son, Mke Hanson & wife Susan; three grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson & husband Phillip, Mitchell Wayne Hanson, and Jessie Suzanne Hanson; one great granddaughter, Mackenzie Marie Jackson, all of Magnolia; one brother, Hubert Allen Baker & wife Bettie Lou of Texarkana, AR; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Beth Perdue and Dr. Walter Smith officiating and burial at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps.
