Biography (2001)

I married Charles Trusty, a military man, in 1953. We did some traveling overseas and returned to the States for his retirement. However, he had a heart attack in 1972 and died at age 45. I married again in 1975 to Cliff Festervand and will soon be married 26 years this second time. Cliff is a retired Social Worker and a part time Baptist minister. In the year 2000, I had major cancer surgery and underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Recent scan did not show any new cancers and we are praising the Lord. Do not know yet if I will be able to attend the 50th reunion.

Clara Adelle Teague Festervand

On Saturday morning, January 19, 2019, Clara Adelle Teague Festervand of Wake Village, Texas passed from this temporary home to her eternal home in glory.

Clara was born January 4, 1933 to Carl and Mary Teague of Buckner, Arkansas. She was one of fifteen brothers and sisters. Survivors include Betty Allen (Dan) of Texarkana, Arkansas, Shirley Steadman of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Carl Teague (Joan) of Hot Springs; Arkansas. Preceding her in death were her husbands, Charles Trusty of Texarkana and Cliff Festervand of Wake Village, Texas, along with eleven brothers and sisters.

Clara was a homemaker and help-meet to her beloved husbands until their death. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Wake Village, Texas. She enjoyed going to church and for many years was a faithful supporter to her husband Cliff when he preached and taught the gospel.

She enjoyed going to church and for many years was a faithful supporter to her husband cliff when he preached and taught the gospel. Clara"s life path carried her all over the world with her first husband Charles during his long military service.

She loved her little dogs, her especially her brilliant red birds who visited her every day. Clara was a very intelligent lady, sweet and tender. She was very social, enjoyed her friends and company. Her Christian walk directed her steps and led her thinking. Clara managed to be content and Godly, with great gain to all her knew her. She will truly be missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 20 from 6-8PM at A.O. Smith Funeral Home, on Tomas street in Stamps, Arkansas. We will bid her farewell on Monday, January 21 at 10 AM, at the Thomas Street Chapel, with Bro. Marty Claiborne, officiating, assisted by Mr. Randy Harbour. Graveside services will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Buckner, Arkansas, under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes, Inc., of Stamps, Arkansas.
