Barbara was born May 24, 1932 - deceased August 25, 1990. She was on the Junior and
Senior basketball teams and was an excellent player. Junior Coach was David Clary.
High school coach was James Bolton. She was homecoming queen 1949 or '50. She
Attended Hendrix College, Conway, AR three years: 1951, 1952 and 1953. (I think she
made lemon icebox pies and sold them.!) She was a Phys Ed major - move to minded and
taught various subjects - met and married Pat Nation, Minden High School Football
Coach. Had wedding in Stamps, AR. Became a member of the Eastern Star and was very
active. She and Pat had four children: Cindy, Terri, Christi, and Patrick. She
