Chacón

The Surname Heraldry

The root of this lineage is found in Navarra, in the very ancient and illustrious House of Tascón o Tascaón, situated in the sierra Sisa, at the Merindad of San Juan at the foot of the Port. It is interesting to point out that one of the regions of Spain where this linage is most extensive was in Andalucia and that is due to the fact that Don Pedro Chacón, accompanied the Holy King, Don Fernando, in the campaigns that they conducted in the conquest of Seville, where the Monarch Don Fernando was very well compensated with regards the distribution of lands that was made among those of Noble birth who had given of their valiant help for the conquest of the City. It is from this that the Chacón branch of Andalucia is so extended. Arms: Quarters of the Coat of Arms, 1st and 4th; silver, with a grey walking wolf. The 2nd and 3rd; blue with a smooth gold leaf.

These are the aristocratic roots of our family tree.

Read Awareness Programs for an understanding of our other roots; the Moorish, Arabic, Jewish, Visgoeth, and Indo-Hispanic roots, etc. The Mexican American and most of the Spanish-speaking people of this hemisphere represent, perhaps, the most integrated identifiable group in existence. We range all the way from pale-pink blue-eyed blondes, through bronze browns, to ebony black.
