Thirty years of Active Duty in the Army Corps of Engineers plus ten years of civil engineering and construction quality control management. Registered professional engineer in New York and Virginia. Four most rewarding tours of duty with combat engineer batallions. Platoon leader and company commander, battalion S-2/ commo officer, assistant division engineer and battalion XO, and battalion commander. Whatever I acheived I owe to the many good people with whom I served. I am especially grateful to my wife Wencke, and three daughters, Susan, Nancy and Margaret, who perservered through all the ups and downs. Fourteen moves in a thirteen year period. A new school, sometimes two every year. Now I just enjoy and spoil my three grandchildren. William , John and Caroline.
