Advanced Individual Academic Development Program

Huntsville AOG members,

Attached is some information regarding West Point's Advanced Individual Academic Development Program.  Marty Eaton and I coordinate this for AMRDEC and facilitate AIAD for other entities here at Redstone. Currently, we are soliciting input for job descriptions for Cadets to perform engineering activities at RSA this summer.  We can assist with your receiving a cadet whether you are with AMRDEC or another entity located at Redstone. Additionally, private industry can provide funding for their own cadets.  However, we need some assistance.

May Luncheon- The Poop

New West Point Society President Mike Cantor '80 presided over his first luncheon on May 25 at the ROCC. Mike welcomed the new board and society members present and thanked the previous board, with particular appreciation to past President Art Meier '63.

The Society goals were noted:

1. Support USMA

2. Support USMA Admissions

3. Encourage and instill fellowship

Mike noted that we will build on the fellowship foundation laid by Art Meier's efforts. Toward this end, Bill Crawford '80, F-2 Zoo fame, was appointed Party Sergeant. Bill (aka Craw) will be ably assisted by a motley crew of party assistants and will plan the social gatherings of the society. Mark your calendars as the fun will begin with Benny Havens hours on June 25 and July 9. These Benny Havens hours will take the place of summer luncheons. Our luncheon schedule will pick up again in August.

See you at the Nook on June 25!

Watching the Army Navy Game

It is only a few days away.  Buffalo Wild Wings (Jones Valley location) is going to set aside two areas for watching the game.  The main bar area and also a big screen in the seating area.  It is a family friendly location.

Also remember there will be a group going to Tut Fann Veteran's home to watch the game with veterans.

Army - Air Force Game watch

It was a dead heat!  a total of 28 votes - each location getting 14.

Since we have already agreed with the Navy to be at Jones Valley for the Army - Navy Game, we will muster at the Buffalo Wild Wings at Madison Mall this Saturday afternoon.  The kick off is at 1430 hours ----Which is the same time as the Alabama - LSU game.  This means the facility will be crowded.  I am requesting that those who voted for the Madison location, please try and arrive early enough to lock in a location - It looks like we need room for at least 28 folks - the number voting.
