The West Point Society of Savannah is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Tax Code. In the letter which granted the WPSS this status, the IRS wrote, "Donors may deduct contributions to you as provided in section
170 of the Code. Bequests, legacies, devices, transfers, or gifts to you or for your use are deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of the Code sections 2055, 2106, and 2522."
Ethics Conference
The 2006 ethics conference will be paid for entirely from membership dues and donations. Donations to the WPSS to support of the ethics conference are tax deductible and 100% of the funds will be applied to the conference. Donors will receive a letter from the Society acknowledging their donation.
Checks donating money for this worthwhile event should be made out to the West Point Society of Savannah. Please indicate Ethics Conference in the memo field.
