Annual WPSS Activities
Here are some typical annual WPSS activities.
- January: Annual Society Meeting.
- January: Election for Board of Directors.
- February: Annual Travis Award for Excellence Board selection of winner from among competing and qualified public and private high school students in the Georgia and South Carolina lowcountry.
- March: Annual Founders Day Dinner celebrated with the 3d Infantry Division of Ft. Stewart.
- March: Announcement of the winner of the Travis Award for Excellence .
- Spring: Annual Spring Society Luncheon.
- June: Annual USMA Candidate picnic/sendoff.
- Sepember: Annual Fall Society Supper featuring short talks by local high school seniors recently returned from the USMA Summer Leaders Seminar Program.
- October: Annual Fall Society Luncheon.
- November: Annual Ethics Conference for public and private high school students and teachers in the Georgia and South Carolina lowcountry.
- December: Annual Army-Navy Game Party.
Throughout the year: Active admissions activities including hosting visits by USMA Admissions reps, counseling of interested students and parents, and interviewing of students in the admissions process.
