November Monthly Luncheon

Our monthly luncheon is Wednesday the 14th from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Saltgrass Steak House, 10614 Research Blvd. across from Costco. We are in the private room. The other service academy alumni are cordially invited to join us.

Our guest speaker is Jim Hougnon ’72 discussing the 50-Year Class Affiliation Program: One day you graduate from our Rock-bound Highland Home, and shortly after you find yourself at your 45th reunion hearing about your 50-year Affiliation class that will be entering the next summer. This program began in the 90s, and many of our Society have been through it either as cadets or as the old grads. We will go over what the program is for the Class of 2022, what opportunities are for participating when it is your turn in the barrel, and how the program is funded. That came as a nasty surprise for ’73!

Jim graduated from USMA in 1972. He served as an Engineer officer and retired in 2000 as a colonel. After retirement, he served on the staff of Officers’ Christian Fellowship, and later was public works director for the City of Montrose, Colorado. He and Jeannie moved to Georgetown three years ago. Jim performs at the Georgetown Palace Theatre, sings in several choral groups, and serves on four boards and committees. His two sons and one daughter are all military: retired USAF, active Army, and USAR.

Bring a classmate, mingle and enjoy.
