The statue of Gen. George S. Patton, USMA class of 1909, is settled onto its temporary resting place near Jefferson Hall Monday so he can look over the Plain in time for the class of 2009's graduation May 23. The statue, which is currently covered until the official relocation and unveiling ceremony scheduled from 12:45-1:40 p.m. May 15, was repositioned by workers from the Directorate of Public Works using a sling and large crane. Patton's statue was removed four years ago to make room for the construction of Jefferson Hall. Bartlett Hall is scheduled for renovations and, when those are complete, the statue will be moved again to its permanent location.
