Luncheon and Annual Meeting -- May 16th PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 07 May 2008

First, Second and Third call for May Luncheon and Annual Membership Meeting - 11:30, FRIDAY, 16 May 2008.

Hey folks - we have but a week and a butt to go!  Let's all get on the phone and RSVP.  You only have until Wed, 14 May to RSVP.

Our speaker, BG (Ret) Zeb Bradford '56, will talk about some ideas he has had for the future of the Army.  More specifically, he has teamed w/ his classmate, Lewis Sorley, to write a book expounding these ideas. Zeb's ideas are presented in a slightly more academic book than we normally see, but need to be discussed with and by everyone.  This is a period of dramatic change for our Army.  It is going through more changes than Professor Remus Lupin when morphing from human to werewolf .  Maria Britt at Founders' Day hinted at some of the structure changes; those still on active duty will be even more aware of them.  Those of us who live on the periphery of the current Army will be little aware of what is going on.  This will give us an opportunity to update ourselves on the world as we once knew it.   Naturally, he will have copies of his book to sell.

Second order of business - Annual Membership Meeting of the Society. Required by our Bylaws.  Election of the newest  members of the Board of Governors; report by the outgoing crew.

As usual, RSVP on line or by e-mail to Jan Heath or by phone to Jan; questions should be directed to Don Reinhard, author of this saga.

Location: Yaarab Shrine Complex, 400 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.  1130 hrs or 11:30 AM, 16 May 2008.

This is going to be a catered affair so we need to know early that you are coming.  Early RSVPs and payment are strongly requested. RSVP NLT COB Wed, 14 May.

$20.00 per non dues-paying members and their guests; $15.00 per person for dues-paying members and their guests. (A reservation made is a reservation paid!)  Pay by cash or check only at the door OR online:
