The luncheon will be at 1130 hrs, Friday, 17 April at the Yaarab Shrine Complex. See the Log Annex for details. Speaker: Well, a change of pace. You have either heard of or met Capt Furat, the Iraqi special forces dude who took a whole bunch of AK-47 rounds in the gut & survived, only to be pretty badly paralyzed, confined to a wheelchair & undergoing spinal rehab therapy at the Shepherd Center here in Atlanta. Terran Cooper from Project SHARE at Shepherd will speak to us about the nuts & bolts of how you rehab a spinal cord or brain injury victim. This is a relatively new project at Shepherd, & they are enthused about participating with the DoD in the rehab of vets. This will not be a marketing presentation, but a discussion of how they work w/ the recovering wounded/injured. Our speaker has over twenty years of clinical and administrative healthcare experience including clinical case management and rehabilitation program development, pre-admission evaluations/hospital liaison and marketing for acute, sub-acute and home health care services. Please reserve Fri, 17 April, for our luncheon. Don Reinhard '59 LOG ANNEX Location: Yaarab Shrine Complex, 400 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30308, 1130 hrs or 11:30 AM, Friday, 17 April 2009.
