THERE ARE TWO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES - DATE & VENUE!!!!!  Be sure to read on to learn what they are.

RALLY!!! RALLY!!! RALLY!!!  There will be a spontaneous lunchtime rally on 29 November, 2007 at 1130 hrs.  The location will be the Yaarab Shrine Complex on Ponce de Leon in Beautiful, Downtown Etlanner.  (We have forever lost the Museum of Patriotism at its old location.)  See the Log Annex for detailed directions to the location & a link to the map from Google.

The speaker has been selected (volunteered, Shanghaied, drafted, kidnapped - whatever), but I do not have sufficient accurate details to give you a bio sketch at this time.  Dave Jacoppo '86, acquired him for us, and this is a rough draft of his background:  Flew B-52's for the USAF; jumped out of one under duress over Hanoi to spend time in the Hilton w/ Sen What'shisname from Arizona; saw the light & attended seminary to become an Episcopal priest; eventually migrated to CA, where he became pastor for the church Pres Ford attended; presided at his funeral; eventually had an geographical epiphany and came to Etlanner, where he is headmaster for a church school in Marietta.  That's where Dave met him.

I plan to have a good old-fashioned rally before & after the speech.  Come prepared to do a "Rocket" or two & sing a few songs.  Doesn't matter if you remember the words, we'll have them for you.  I need a former Rabble Rouser to volunteer to rouse the Rabble.  Also need a CD of the football songs to provide musical accompaniment to our mis-guided singing.  If we are really lucky, we'll have an Army Mule, "Bird Shot," (Buck Shot wasn't available.) show up to give mule rides for the braver Old Grads in the crowd.  If we are really lucky, Buck Brinson '41 will coach the neophytes on how to ride a recalcitrant mule (not to be confused w/ a recalcitrant truss, whatever that was).

More details as they become available.
