First call for the September luncheon, FRI, 21 SEPT. It's going to be on Friday, again this year. (No relation to the cop. - if you are old enough to remember.) Friday, the 21st of Sept. Same week of the month we have had it for several years, now. Just be there! Here are the facts, just the plain facts. Speaker is to be confirmed later today. Sept is a short month (as opposed to a short round, which can be fatal), so I wanted to get this "FIRST CALL" out early, instead of waiting for best to be better than good enough.) Speaker was at our June luncheon, sitting in rear in a wheel chair. An Iraqi Captain, in town for rehab work at the Shepherd spine center, courtesy of a rather messy wound that left him unable to walk. So if you want to hear about things from their side, this is the place to be. I think, w/GEN Petraeus giving his report to Congress this month, that an Iraqi Capt is a "Topical" speaker. Stay tuned for the details, fast breaking and vital. Make your reservation today - or yesterday - but remember, a reservation made is a reservation paid. (Unless you are in the ICU in full body traction, in which case we cut you some slack.) See the Log Annex for the details.
