The list data section This is where your membership list is. There is a specific format for that list. (click on the image - right) These names are added automatically when you subscribe a member through an email (in plain text) to majordomo@west-point.org (to be covered in another tutorial) The digest data section This is the same as the list data section, except that it contains the names and email addresses of the members who wish to receive the list in a digest format. |

Owner The name and email address of the list moderator goes here. |

Admin Login Entry here is the username for the list moderator(s). It allows access to the admin page. |

Member Login Member login is a username to provide the list members access to the archives. |

|
List Info The information entered here is sent to new members when they are subscribed by the list owner.
Suscribe/unsubscribe messages These areas were used when members sent emails to majordomo to subscribe. They are seldom used today. |

Password This password entry is the one used for subscribing members. To subscribe a member, the following format is used: Send an email to: majordomo@west-point.org body of email: approve password (un)subscribe

Post List If you have a member who would like to receive the list at one location, but be able to post from an alternate address, this is where that alternate address would be listed. (often used when the member is not allowed to receive volume mail at work, but wishes to be able to send an occasional message). |

Bad List Every list has a member or two who can get argumentative, or breaks the established list rules. This area allows the moderator to give the member a "time out" of sorts. Names entered here allow the member to receive the list, but denies them the ability to send to the list. |

Config DANGER! Changes in the list config affect the workings of the list. Errors here can cause the list to malfunction. If in doubt, contact feedback@west-point.org and we'll be happy to make changes for you. |
