The semi-annual fund drive for this year has been under way for awhile. You have received other messages from various WP-ORG personnel. I just made my donation and knew I needed to extend a personal invitation to each and every member on our parents of graduates list. Why? Several reasons, but first a huge thank you to our members who have already donated.

For one, there are 2184 list members. In the classes of graduates, only 77 have made a donation. Now I realize some people choose to donate now in the spring campaign and some in the Fall campaign. So even at half donating now, that would be 1092 members with 77 having donated - that is 7% of half of our members. Hhmmm. What does this say? I would like to believe only that it is tax day.

But - here is another reason to donate: it is tax day. Celebrate!! Aren't we all supposed to get some sort of check or something? Anticipate! Spend part of it supporting the organization that supports YOU!!

Another reason to donate: think about what you have gained from this list, what you have learned from this list, what this list has done for you as an Army parent and parent of a West Point grad. Have you had questions answered? Have you found support from others? What does this mean to you? What is it worth to you? Can't figure out how much to send? Then send the amount you feel would say what the benefit of this list is to you. Too much? Send what you can. No donation is too small to say you want to participate. Feeling really loaded? Send your graduation year in dollars! Feeling the pinch of the economy? Send your graduation year in cents!! But do send.

Now if you want to participate, you had better do it soon as we are already at 66% of our goal of $107,438. Do keep WP-ORG up and running. Do donate something.
