Subject: WP-ORG: FD 23 West-Point.org-- Innovative, Responsive, Adaptable, and Efficient

Last fall, my class celebrated its 20th reunion. It was a truly awesome weekend with nearly 1500 guests in attendance, one of the largest attendance totals in alumni history, and we organized it entirely through the web-tools of West-Point.org. West-Point.org provided the platform and applications for pre and post reunion surveys, rapid dissemination of and access to information about activities and accommodations, and a secure and simple registration and credit card processing site that was available 100% of the time. West-Point.org is innovative, teaching us new ways to accomplish tasks.

West Point.org has also been at the silent center of the West Point Women's Network since inception, hosting the organization's website and searchable mentoring and connection database.

Leading up to the USMA Women's Conference in 2006, a small group of West Point Women initiated the development of a mentor program for cadets and graduates. Originally conceived as a way for cadets to seek the insights and experiences of "those of an earlier day," the program now offers to connect all West Point Women.

West-Point.org responded quickly and played an integral role in transforming this mentoring program from a excel spreadsheet, into a searchable on-line database of women graduates allowing each participant to seek a mentor or a connection on their own using search criteria. This was accomplished by adapting the popular graduate living history project known as the Ward Book. West-Point.org is adaptable meeting our needs as a priority.

West-Point.org provides the infrastructure and customer service support that keeps ALL of us connected—free of charge. West-Point.org is responsive providing fast answers and solutions to questions and challenges posed. This is accomplished through the commitment, dedication, fiscal responsibility and technical expertise of 3 employees, and many volunteer graduates and parents who manage various sites.

The availability of web applications and support tools continues to grow, yet due to efficiency improvements, west-point.org has actually reduced the organization's projected expenses for the next six months.

If you find value in what west-point.org is doing for your class, society, parents group or another parts of the West Point Community, please let west-point.org know with a contribution to help pay the direct costs which provide these versatile services and solutions.

Our budget for the next six months is $107,438 and may be reviewed at:
