SUBJECT: Honor System and SOP

 

1. The purpose of this SOP is to serve as the authoritative document on matters relating to the Honor Code, the Honor System, and Honor Committee Procedures.

2. This SOP explains and codifies an ethical values system for the purpose of practical application and enforcement of the Cadet Honor Code.

3. Members of the Corps of Cadets assume the responsibility for upholding the Spirit of the Cadet Honor Code and the values emphasized within the pages of this document. The Cadet Honor Code is the unchanging standard that guides the Corps of Cadets. The Honor System, is the dynamic system, subject to change and improvement through which the Honor Code is maintained.

4. The Cadet Honor Committee publishes HONOR SYSTEM and SOP with the approval of the Commandant of Cadets and the Superintendent, United States Military Academy.

5. This document replaces USCC Pamphlets 15-1 and 632-1.

6. POC for this manual is the Executive Officer, Cadet Honor Committee. Recommendations for change should be submitted in writing through the Executive Officer to the Chairperson, Cadet Honor Committee.
