KINGSFORD---Ryan Ramey won four events and Kenner Broullire won three as the Manistique Emeralds won the 2013 MHSAA boys Division Two U.P. Track championship Saturday in Kingsford. It was Manistique's first title since 1960.

Manistique clinched its victory with a win in the final event...the 1600 relay, which had been delayed by an hour because of heavy rain at Flivver Field. Ramey anchored that winning race, with Brouillire also a part of the event, also called the 4X400.

Ramey also won the 200-meter dash in 23.82 seconds, the 400 in a school-record 51.12 seconds, and he anchored the winning 3,200 relay team.

Broullire set the U.P. meet record in the 300 hurdles in 39.35 seconds. He also won the 100 meter dash in 11.37 seconds.
