Thank you notes

Thank you again for sending the stockings.  The Navy Unit that received them have been here for 8 weeks.  They were very excited when they got them.  The commandor said they were like kids in a candy store.  They loved them.  Here are some photos.
Thank you,

Phil reported - The box was filled with needed items. His group passed out the message that “West Point knows how to do it right”, as this was the “most awesome” box ever received during deployment. The soldiers wanted to say they loved and appreciated it and that there were 31 happy soldiers that day.

The stockings were very thoughtful and proved to be an instant hit with my infantrymen. Many of them did not receive any Christmas packages during the last round of mail, so the stockings came at a perfect time. The support that the WPPC continues to give - even to us graduates- is amazing!

Dear West Point Parent Club of Michigan,

I wanted to send you a short message to thank you for the wonderful care package I received last week (just in time for Christmas. The package made it all the way to Kandahar province(southern Afghanistan.) I was able to pass out many of the stockings to soldiers in our brigade's light engineers group that do lots of great work for us...everything from clearing mines to building roads.

We all very much appreciated your kindness and generosity. Being away from home during this time of year is difficult, however, people like you make it just a bit easier to deal with. Thank you for spreading some holiday cheer all the way over here!
