Tailgating...Army/Vanderbilt Football Game
We are finalizing our plans for the Club's annual football/tailgating outing. We have inquired into the availability of tickets for the October 10th, Army/Vanderbilt football game and were informed that good seats are still available, but going fast! The cost per ticket is $30.00 which includes a handling fee.
Please email me or Gene Gatty if your family is interested in joining us and how many tickets you will be purchasing. We would like to order the tickets by next weekend.
Money for the tickets will be due once the order has been placed. Everyone that attended last year had a great time and are looking forward to this year's event. Please let us know ASAP. Thank you.
Fall Boodle Party!
If any parent would like to host the Fall Boodle party please contact me. It is nice to hold these events at different locations throughout our region. Since we will be going up to WP for the game, holding the Boodle party on Sunday, October 4th, will enable us to take the Boodle packages up to our Cadets the following weekend of the game. If you can help with this please contact me.
"A"Day
Please submit your reservations for "A"Day. It will be here before you know it and an accurate number is necessary for the West Point Club catering. For new plebe families this is a way to enjoy being with your Cadet and "catching up."

Please know that all of the members will be thinking of you on this important day. It is a beginning and we are here to help in any way that we can. Hopefully, you have all received the "Survival Guides". Feel free to contact any of the officers with your questions and concerns. It is a journey like no other. Take plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes and take letters to mail from the post. Mail will be your only way to communicate with the new cadets until the Ice Cream Social, and they look forward to receiving your encouragement and support.

A-DAY...August 15, 2009
This day is fast approaching and we are making the arrangements. Our club has reserved the Train Station at the South Dock on post. The cost per person will be $15.00. (All Cadets are free).
We have the Train Station from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Food will be served with catering from the West Point Club. After the parade, you will be able to come down to the Train Station to await the arrival of your Cadet. Some Cadets will have duties to complete before they are released to meet you at the Station.
We know that they will come hungry. The only detail you will have to take care of is getting to the Plain on time for the parade - We will take care of the rest.
Again, all of our Cadets eat free and we would love for them to attend and congratulate our new Plebes. All parents who may be visiting their Yearlings, Cows, and Firsties are also invited and encouraged to participate.
Please fill out the reservation form so that we can order accordingly. Send your check to the Club Treasurer, Gene Gatty, by August 7th.
