CPRC-2004-Mercer County, PA
The Cadet Public Relations Council (CPRC) sends Cadets, normally from the Yearling and Cow classes at specified times during the school year for the purpose of informing residents of their home counties about West Point.  The primary direction is towards high school students, but it is in no way limited to just that group.  Middle and elementary grades are perhaps even better levels to make students aware of the opportunities available at West Point.  The CPRC allows those Yearling and Cows to depart early for Thanksgiving and Spring Break as well as Graduation Week.

The Admissions Office coordinates CPRC visits with a MALO (Military Academy Liaison Officer) for the Cadet's home city/county/congressional district.

For the week of May 24-28, 2004 Cadet  David Zgonc of Greenville, PA and Cadet Jerry Drew of Sandy Lake spoke and responded to student questions at Greenville, Hermitage, West Middlesex and  Lakeview high schools.  They made presentations to students at the Hickory Middle School (Hermitage) and St. Michael's Elementary School in Greenville, PA.  In addition, they were present at the Pennsylvania District 10 track and field championship meet held at Hickory High School in Hermitage and met with students at the Wellness Center of Robert Piston, MD in Hermitage.
