Leslie Ann Rissberger, Requiescat In Pace

With sadness and condolence for her family, we announce the passing from this life of Leslie Ann Rissberger.  Leslie Ann passed away at her home on May 4, 2011.  Her son Michael graduated at West Point on May 21, 2011.  Leslie Ann and her husband William are members of West Point Parents Club of Washington.  A memorial service for Leslie Ann will be held at St. Jude’s Parish, Redmond, Washington on June 9, 2011 at 1900 hours.  Flintofts is handling the arrangements.  The Seattle Times includes Leslie Ann’s obituary.  May her soul rest in the Peace of God which passes all understanding, and may her family be fortified in the knowledge of her life’s goodness.

Joe Brillante, ’69, of our West Point Admissions Field Force for Washington State shares news from Troy Peterson, ’08, son of Craig & Cassandra Peterson, published in The New York Times’ At War Blog.

Troy’s description of Combat Outpost Mizan in Zabul Province, Afghanistan serves as a reminder to bring “boodle” (toiletries/food) to our July 9, October 2 and February 5 meetings for shipment to WPPC-WA Members’ deployed Grads’ Platoons and Companies.
