Firstie Parent Presentation for the 09 Parents: The Mohr’s and the Hermiller’s were awarded Lt. Bars for the mothers, Academy Coins, and USMA Saber Letter Openers as an appreciation gift for their time and service to the West Point Parents’ Club, and to honor the accomplishments of their children upon their graduation at USMA.
Guest Speakers: This year’s guest speakers were recent graduate of the USMA, 2LT Jackie Oeser and 2LTs Cathleen and Travis Barker. These recent graduates are stationed at Ft. Lewis and generously offered to speak to the new parents regarding life at USMA and reminisce about Plebe Life. They assured the new parents that it is possible to survive Plebe Year, West Point in general, and the Army. They spoke of how welcome Boodle Boxes are to the Cadets and Travis Barker spoke about his father’s Army/Navy march-on photos and how sincerely he views his mission to support Operation Save Our Troops.
