
Lieutenant General Charles H. Jacoby Jr.
Lieutenant General Charles H. Jacoby Jr., comes to I Corps and Fort Lewis from his previous assignment as the Commander of U.S. Army Alaska, headquartered at Fort Richardson, Alaska.
He was commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduation from the United States Military
Academy in 1978. His military education includes the Infantry Basic and Advanced courses, the Command and General Staff College, the School of Advanced Military Studies, and the National War College. He holds a master’s degree in History from the University of Michigan.

Lieutenant General Jacoby was born in Detroit, Michigan. He and his wife, Grace, have three sons,
Charles, Victor and Michael.
