Change of Command Ceremony at JBLM on 03 Jul 2012

Tuesday 03 JUL 12 at 1000 Hours is incoming Change of Command Ceremony for MG(P) Robert Brown, to CG JBLM and I Corps (America’s Corps).  Bob is USMA ’81, a particularly distinguished class (our fellow WP Parent COL (R) Dave Ochs is his classmate).  The new VP of WPSWPS also is Bob’s classmate.  The ceremony is thought to be at the parade ground before I Corps HQ between Liggett and Bitar Aves.  A chance to see a three-star change of command is rare and we encourage all WP Parents who can to attend this one.  Bob is a distinguished combatant commander and friend of WPSWPS and his wife Patti is every bit the commander’s helpmeet.  One of their daughters considered WP several years ago then matriculated at Oregon.  Bob was recruited to WP’s basketball team by Coach K, Joe Brillante’s ’69 classmate.  Bob had never heard of WP!  He just handed off command of the Maneuver Center of Excellence (Fort Benning, GA).
