Ideas to Generate operating funds for our club

Due to several problems, our club is close to running out of money. Many have offered suggestions on how to generate funds.

Here are a few ideas members have suggested from our last meeting at Scott Air Force Base.

  1. Ask for past members (who have not rejoined) to make a donation – our club is a 501c3 which means it’s tax deductible.
  2. Sell raffle tickets for a weekend at a condominium through the Armed Forces Vacation Club.
  3. Hold a Trivia night and silent auction
  4. Have a golf outing
  5. Sell a CAMO colored ‘Support our Troops’ bracelet

OBC training

The Army is changing the OBC (Officer Basic Course) training; they will add more about how to conduct convoy operations and how to understand non-combat operations like convoy movement and security.
