2006 Class Pistol

For the last several years, each class has a class pistol developed for it. Colt has developed a special design for the cadets with the class crest. The price is reduced to the cadets from $2,350 to $900

What about the revolver? The Class of 2006 will not offer a revolver. There are many reasons for this, including the expense of having a second gun, the extremely high price, and the fact that last year's Single Action Army revolver is, for the most part, still in production and those orders have not yet all been filled. We feel it is important to finish the entire process, including providing you with your pistol, before Graduation, therefore, any project lasting longer than that is not going to be pursued.

Is there a stainless steel model? No, in the past some classes have chosen stainless steel. This year, we decided that a blued gun and gold engraving looked better, and hides powder burns better should you decide to shoot your gun.

What if I want different grips? The grips that come on the pistol are Faux Ivory, which, included with the engraving, cost around $60 a set. In order to reduce costs, we did not choose real ivory (upwards of $200 a set for just the grips) or any other especially rare or exotic material. It is a simple procedure to purchase another set of grips and install them on the pistol (2 screws on each side), and most engravers would be quite able to trace a class crest into the grips if you want to customize your pistol further.

What is the artwork done with? All artwork is 24k gold, and the slides are etched and gold plated. The grips are Faux Ivory with "gold fill" in the engraving, which are basically specks of gold dust in paint.
