 The WPPC of the San Fernando Valley draws its membership from the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys of Southern California, as well as the southern portion of Ventura County. There are greater than one hundred West Point Parents Clubs throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and other foreign countries. These clubs are groups of parents of cadets and graduates who gather to share experiences and lend support for each other, their cadets and the Academy. The Club offers a unique opportunity to share the fellowship of other Cadet families who are now participating in the West Point experience together with their sons and daughters or who have gone through the experience before you. We get together a few times each year, and enjoy a relationship with the West Point Society Of Los Angeles, and are invited to many of their events. Being on the West Coast presents more challenges than other parents throughout the country experience. Coming together and sharing our personal solutions helps parents wade through the challenges of the four years of the West Point experience.
It was stressed at a West Point Superintendent's Parent Club Conference, that parent clubs throughout the country further the interests of the Academy and the Army by serving as primary local contacts for interested students and their families, schools, civic and community groups. These contacts are opportunities to communicate the USMA Mission: "To educate, train and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country; professional growth throughout a career as an officer in the United States Army; and a lifetime of selfless service to the nation."
