| Books which graduates recommend: http://gradstore.west-point.org/booksrecommendedbygrads.html These books are also on the Chief of Staff of the Army's reading list http://gradstore.west-point.org/shinsekilist.html HOUSEHOLD GOODS LIST This list is intended to only be a guide in thinking about items new 2nd Lts. might need when they arrive at their duty posts. Most officer training is done where they will stay in BOQs that are meant for short term living. They are furnished and provide linens and towels and cleaning. Some have cooking areas, some do not. Rules may vary as to what they can use in their rooms .When they move to their duty post is the time when they will need to start setting up their own living quarters. They may live on their own or share with some others. Basic items will be needed then. Needs are different for those going overseas who probably do not ship much over.
