Announcements

Apr 25: For 2013 > Tips for new cadet parents from Deb Dalton, WPPC Coordinator: Have your cell phones at the ready during the Ice Cream Social on July 15 between 1:00 - 5:00. Give your cadet a small wallet-size card with important phone numbers. They will not have access to their cell phones and may not remember phone numbers.

Practice R Day is Friday, June 26. To volunteer, get more info at http://www.westpoint.edu/Dcomm/wppc.asp

Apr 18: For 2013 > Just announced... the Ice Cream Social for the new cadets will be held  on July 15. This is generally the first time that the new cadets can call home, not to mention that they get  a much needed small break from Beast.

Apr 6: Save the date! The WPPC-NC Tailgate will be on Sep 12, West Point v Duke. More info to come.

Apr 5: For 2013 > Read a letter of introduction from Deb Dalton, West Point's official parent resource.

For 2009 and 2013, in particular. A parent shared this article about The Class of 2009 R Day, written way back in 2005. We've all come a long way, haven't we? For the class of 2013, this is a great description of the R Day ahead of you.

Mar 26: The WPPC of St. Louis is selling tumblers with the crest for the classes of 2009, 2010, and 2011. Check out the details here.

Mar 11: The 2013 Plebe Parent Handbook is now available for download (2.4MB). This is a must-read -- 23 pages of useful information to help you prepare yourself and your cadet candidate for the West Point experience.

Feb 24: For 2012 > Plebe Parent Weekend schedule and updated privilege memo has been posted on the Parents Club website at  http://www.westpoint.edu/Dcomm/wppc.asp.

Feb 23: For 2013 > USCC has announced that they will no longer authorize the pre-purchase of boots. As the tan boots require no "break in period," USCC wants all candidates to wait until they report and be properly fitted for their boots. One less thing to take care of before R Day!
