Membership

Membership in the West Point Parents Club (WPPC) of the Maryland-DC-Virginia (MD-DC-VA) area is open to parents, extended family members, and friends of USMA cadets. The club’s goal is to support our West Point cadets who are undergoing a rigorous academic, leadership, and military training program. In addition, we offer several club functions each year, a quarterly newsletter publication, electronic information via our listserv, and several services for members and cadets (i.e. bus transportation, football tailgating, and more). In order to use these benefits, you must be a current member of the WPPC of MD-DC-VA; membership details are outlined below.

WPPC of MD-DC-VA initiated a listserv with "west-point.org" a couple years ago. All members with valid email addresses are automatically entered unless they ask not to be. The listserv is used to disseminate information about club functions, and individual members can use it to broadcast relevant information to members at large. In addition, the listserv can be accessed from the club's web page so that a member can send text-based email messages to individual members via a blind email client.

The West Point Parents Club membership year runs from 1 June to 31 May. Annual membership fees are: $25.00 for Regular Membership offered to parents of cadets who reside in our geographic area, and includes nametags (first time membership) and a Parent Handbook for Plebe Parents (until the year’s supply is exhausted.)

Associate Membership is $15*
*Associate Memberships are intended for grandparents, extended family members, parents who live outside our area but are interested in some of our services, parents of WP graduates who no longer have cadets enrolled at West Point, and friends of cadets interested in supporting the goals of our organization. No name tags are included with Associate membership.

Nametags for regular, new members are ordered about once a month and mailed directly from our vendor to the member. If you change your address, phone or e-mail, please notify the Membership Chair at: jackndebra@msn.com or call: (703) 534-9744.

You can access a membership form at the bottom of this page and mail with a check to our membership chair, or you can join online with a credit card.
