Boodle Bash a Great Success!!

For the first time ever, our club organized an event to take a bit of the gloom out of the gloom period - we resolved to deliver boodle to the entire Corp of Cadets. To achieve this, a solicitation was sent over the club's list server for monetary or confectionary donations. Many boxes and bags of home made and prepackaged goodies were received along with nearly $400 in donations. These resources were sufficient to fill one large Xerox copy paper box with treats as well as provide 2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts per company. Below are pictures of the assembly operation as well as the delivery of the boodle.

Some Notes of Appreciation

Parents Club of Maryland, DC, and Virginia,

We graciously thank you for the boodle box we recently received from you. I ensure you that
the food will be evenly distributed throughout the company of C-1. And yes, we will make sure
the plebes get their fair share of the candy and brownies.

Happy Valentines Day.

Respectfully,

Dear West Point Parent's Club of Maryland, DC, and Virginia,

On behalf of the First Captain and the Corps at large, I would like to thank you so much
for the Valentine's Day goodies. Not every cadet has a "valentine," and your kind efforts
are very much appreciated. I can only imagine the time, work, and organization required
to bring us all something sweet to eat. Of course, all Cadets always appreciate food,
but the food in your packages was absolutely delicious. The brownies, cheeze-its,
and the white-nut cookies, and bagged chocolate chip cookies were big hits on their own!

Thanks again for being parents not only to your own sons and daughters, but to the rest
of the Corps as well. Happy Valentine's Day!

Sincerely,

c/CPT Jeanne Hull

I just wanted to write a big thank you for all the great boodle that you sent to our company

did not do the same. The food was great, and our company sure is lucky to have CDTs Seitz,
Price, Hughes, and the others from the area here with us in F-1. Thanks again from company

Dear Sir / Ma'am,

On behalf of the Barbarians, I would like to say thank you. The care package you sent was
well received, greatly appreciated, and quickly consumed. The Plebes effectively surrounded
the box in a full 360 degree defensive perimeter and had their pick of the boodle before the
upperclassmen had a chance to realize what was taking place. Everyone's Valentine's Day
was better and brighter as a direct result of your selfless actions. The entire company is grateful.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness.

Respectfully,

filled with baked goods - one for each company and one for bde staff - and drove them
up here today in honor of valentine's day. how awesome is that?!?!

Dear WPPC Parents,,

Thank you so much for taking the time las monday to send our company the wonderful desserts.
The MD, DC, VA parents club certainly gained all of our respect and attention.  The gifts were
a great surprise for all the people in the company, and allowed everyone to get a present on

West Point Parents Club Members,

I just want to express a kind "Thank You" to all of you that participated in the Valentines
"Boodle Boxes" for the cadets. I know my particular company was both surprised and
elated to find that parents like you would think so much of them to remember them (ALL!)
on Valentine's Day. Your goodies arrived in perfect condition...and having tasted a couple
of cookies myself, I'll tell you that everything was delicious.

On behalf of the TACs here in USCC, thanks for helping to contribute to the quality of life
of "our" cadets. You might not hear it often enough, but they really do appreciate it...and us
TACs do too. :-)

Many regards,

MAJ Jeff Toomer
